Can i start dance at the age of 13 and become a professional dancer?

I havent had much dance experience. I think did ballet for a year when i was 7. That was it.

I want to be able to get into the sydney dance comapny when im 18 or so. I live in australia btw.

Also I want to transfer to a performing arts school when im in year 10.
Is it possible if i start dance classes now?
Im thinking of taking up; Contemporary, jazz and ballet?Submited by:Kemistree

I know how to grind and slow dance with someone my height or a little shorter, but not with someone 6 inches shorter.Submited by:thakos

So this year is the first time I’ve ever had a date to Homecoming and I am unsure of how to dance with my date during fast songs. I am most concerned with how to position myself in relation to her, where I put my hands, and how to move in general. I have no problem with slow dancing, I’ve just never danced to a fast song with a partner before. Help please? I really don’t want to look stupid. Thanks.Submited by:Jason
