Hi, I’m starting high school next year and me and my friends were talking about starting an Anime club. I don’t really know how to start a club and I was wondering if someone could give me some tips or help or something.

Advice from your former president, Don’t.

All the kids will pick on you in school.

I think don’t listen to the other guys. my advice is to ask the principal with your friends, this will show that YES people are interested and will go for the idea and you can learn about the japanese culture while having fun watching anime, for permission then post posters and sign up sheets and get others interested.

    ANIME ROCKS!!

Most likely, when school starts up, they will have announcements and advertisements for clubs that already exist. It all depends on the school you go to. It’s awesome to start clubs..don’t listen to those guys. They obviously have no life and probably live in their rooms playing video games.
Ask other people that are in clubs (older kids)
Talk to teachers that you are comfortable with.
It won’t be too hard, just play it by ear.

Ask the principal and see if they will let you start the club.

First, you have to get people who are interested. Have them sign a paper stating that they will attend meetings.
Then, you have to get a teacher to sponser it, and agree to stay after school and supervise the meetings, usually once or twice a month.
At the meetings, it’s best to keep things fun (cosplay, new episodes, character immitation, drawing, etc)
See if your anime club can go on field trips and have fund raisers. :]
Most teachers would be cool with it, but be sure to ask for guidelines and if they say no, ask why cheerleaders can cheer, and football players have a team. If they say no to your club, but yes to those, that’s like… prejudice.
Best of luck to you :]
If you need anything else, just ask me. :]
