What can a school photo club do to look good on college applications?

I’m president of photo club and there aren’t many people at my school interested in joining the club because it doesnt look good on college applications since we just enter contests and have photoshoots and stuff.

any ideas? would donating to foundations be good? if so which ones?

    I think Do something that ties in with the curriculum or major you want to pursue in college. If you want to major in Political Science, get pictures of political events, candidates, elected officials, and put them together in a presentation that shows the issues of your community. If someone wants to study engineering, do a series of photos that illustrates the principles of engineering – maybe the 7 basic machines (Lever, inclined plane, screw, etc) and donate them to engineering classes in your school and others.

    Each person can pick the topic or place to present (assuming the people in charge of that place approve, of course) Each can plan and execute the photo shoots. Others can assist you in return for your help when it’s their turn.
